....well I'm not sure Bob would be proud but hey it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did get a little worried when at one point the artist who was teaching (also the original artist of the painting we were doing) got this look on her face when she realized this is a lot harder than I thought it'd be for novices.
We trudged on though like good little students and you know what? I hate to admit it, but it was fun and I found myself more intense about my painting than I thought I would....I know not me right?! ;)
Here's (look left) what we started with...I joking took this picture and said "Well here's the last time my painting looked good"
I honestly didn't know what to expect out of mine, I simply wanted to be able to tell without much trouble what I'd attempted to paint...no giveaways if I did that or not (you'll see on down).
We started with a bright yellow under layer over the entire canvas...something even I couldn't screw up. Lisa and I were both very happy at this step...but as we continued we both hit quite a few frustrated moments.
Oh yeah! |
Isn't she cute!! |
So from that wonderful background color we slowly started the process of creating a sunset over a pond that had cattails and grass along it's shore...
I paint so fast the camera can't keep up! |
So...I wouldn't say we are professional but we didn't do half bad!
Lisa keeps saying mine is better....but I'm pretty sure I like her cattails way more than mine! :) |
Overall, it was fun that we both could do something together we each enjoyed...and that my friends is worth a lot!!!
(Notice I did throw some un-instructed "happy trees" in my background just for the Bob Ross touch!!)
